SciShorts: The Falcon Heavy Rocket to Take Musk’s Car to Space

Entrepreneur and futurist, Elon Musk has announced that SpaceX will launch what is supposed to be the world’s most powerful rocket, the Falcon Heavy “Megarocket”. The rocket will have three reusable cores and 27 engines to give it a thrust of about 2500 tons. Moreover, it will be able to lift around 54 metric tonnes into orbit. This contraption has been built for sending humans to Mars and bringing them back to earth. This rocket has caught the eye of many since it will be taking a red 2008 Tesla Roadster (that will be playing a song throughout the journey), which belongs to Musk himself.

“Of course, anything boring is terrible, especially companies, so we decided to send something unusual, something that made us feel. The payload will be an original Tesla Roadster, playing Space Oddity, on a billion year elliptic Mars orbit.” – Elon Musk

Elon Musk has announced that the launch of the rocket into the Martian orbit will happen by the end of this month.
